Nathan Bilow

Biography

Three decades of experience
Nathan Bilow has photographed more in his 30 years as a professional photographer than most: from Wars to Weddings, Babies to Bombs, Japan to Jerusalem, Alaska to Australia, Norway to New Zealand... This lifetime of experience has brought knowledge to create incredible imagery. Nature to world traveling commercial, and commercial photographer, Nathan has been residing in Crested Butte, Colorado, since the 1970’s, after spending a few years in Aspen. Nathan has had over 20 Crested Butte Magazine covers and has published the Edge of Paradise and the Seasons of Paradise books that display the changing of Crested Butte in the 1970's -'80's and '90's.

Self created creative projects that Nathan recently completed exhibit called Naturally, which are nudes in nature. The images are printed on canvas which has been exhibited at various Colorado galleries as a solo artist as well as collaborate with other artists. The exhibit has also been accepted to a gallery in Paris.

This year Nathan was honored with the first ever 'Norman' award given by the Crested Butte Land Trust. Nathan has also be awarded with the Harold Hirsch from the North American Ski Journalists Association and the first ever 'Durrance' (an Aspen Icon) award given by the Colorado Ski Country. Nathan donates thousands of dollars annually to the Center For The Arts and the Crested Butte Land Trust.
With a lovely wife and two young children Nathan has focused his world traveling efforts to his family in Crested Butte to photograph families and weddings, though he will still work for the Associated Press and various clients around the globe to be able to stay in this Upper Slate River Valley that he calls home.
